Science and outreach matter a lot to me. I strongly believe that true empowerment today is achieved by promoting science literacy and critical thinking; to make people more resistant to alternative facts and populist ideologies. I'm also an extremely enthusiastic Ph.D.-level biologist with a particular interest in plants, soil, and water nutrient cycles. My heart beats for green infrastructure, and I believe that this is our future. Nonetheless, greenwashing isn’t my thing - I work toward a critical and data-driven approach that also takes the financial and societal aspects into consideration. I do not take on projects that I do not scientifically, or ethically, believe in. I have received degrees from world-renowned institutions like the University of Cambridge and Max-Planck Institute, a Ph.D. from Stockholm University and worked as a guest researcher at Leibnitz Institute. Through my consulting business, Anna Zakrisson Consulting, I collaborate with the data-driven green roof company Purple-Roof and with the green roof testing laboratory Green Roof Diagnostics. I held the position VP of content marketing at ZAGENO GmbH and am the owner and administrator of the blog and social media platform Doctor Anna's Imaginarium with over 70000 followers. Together with opera singer Joa Helgesson, we create science communication events that fuse science, theatre and opera: "Welcome to the future of science communication!" www.annasimaginarium.com My unique place is between the systems; to act as a link between scientists and non-scientists; academia and business; high school dropouts and professors. We all have some valid points. Let's sit down and talk. About me as a person: Someone described me as a blend between a lumberjack and Downton Abbey with a vocabulary of "a highly educated sailor."
