    Sometimes, science knowledge really makes life easier. What about chemistry? When did your chemistry knowledge really helped you?

    “like dissolves like”

    Simple rule, but very useful. Polar, ionic compounds dissolves in water, fat compounds in oils/non-polar solvents. And polar solvents mixes with polar solvents, etc.

    On the beach and got some greasy stains? Use fat sun lotion rather than water to get it off.

    Permanent marker on the whiteboard?

    Draw over with a whiteboard marker and wipe clean.

    Making a salad dressing?

    Add salt to the vinegard, not the olive oil.
