I love making up new recipes. Last year a small supermarket chain accidently printed the wrong use and cooking information sheets for some of their fresh vegetables. One example was ‘how to use potatoes – cakes, milkshakes, desserts’ (or similar, not the exact wording).

Of course I had to take them up on that challenge so I made a few recipes and posted them on their FB page. One was this chocolate potato milkshake. It turned out ok, but I wouldn’t pay for it at a cafe, lol. I probably could have made it much better with more time and experimentation.

I was a bit disappointed that the page didn’t respond and no-one else took up the challenge, but I had fun anyway.

What’s the best potato to use in a potato shake?

I don’t remember they type I used in this but I would guess that floury ones would be best as they have more starch and would make it thicker and smoother.

They would have been cooked beforehand though? My ex-wife had a raw food week and made pasta from raw Zucchini and what not. My stomach needed a month to recover….!

      Yes, cooked and mashed first.
